Bathurst – 60 Years of the Great Race – a must-have book for Suparcars fans

It’s Bathurst week and there is no better way to celebrate 60 years of the iconic motor race than to read and reflect over the years the latest book from Steve Normoyle, ‘Bathurst – 60 Years of the Great Race‘.

Steve Normoyle, along with Gelding Street Press, presents a very readable pictorial history of every one of those 60 years of racing at the Mount Panorama. Some great pictures and fast-moving anecdotes that follow all the legends who competed at the circuit including Peter Brock, Allan Moffat, Craig Lowndes, Dick Johnson, Mark Scaife, Larry Perkins, Allan Grice, Jamie Whincup, Greg Murphy, Scott McLaughlin and Shane van Gisbergen.

There are over 300 colour photos depicting each race, bringing back all those memories of the good, the bad and the ugly!

I really like the way each year has been presented, with photos that bring back memories of the many races watched, along with a brief description of what went on.

Available in all good bookstores for $45.00, this is a must-have book to have on the bookshelf for both reference and reflection.
