Ross MacKay
Ross MacKay is an award-winning journalist, author and publicist with first-hand experience of motorsport from a lifetime competing on two and four wheels. He currently combines contract media work with weekend Mountain Bike missions and trips to grassroots drift days.
Mark Baker
Mark Baker has been working in automotive PR and communications for more than two decades. For much longer than that he has been a motorsport journalist, photographer and competitor, witness to most of the most exciting and significant motorsport trends and events of the mid-late 20th Century. His earliest memories of motorsport were trips to races at Ohakea in the early 1960s, and later of annual summer pilgrimages to watch Shellsport racers and Mini 7s at Bay Park and winter sorties into forests around Kawerau and Rotorua to see the likes of Russell Brookes, Ari Vatanen and Mike Marshall ply their trade in group 4 Escorts. Together with Murray Taylor and TV producer/director Dave Hedge he has been responsible for helping to build New Zealand’s unique Toyota Racing Series into a globally recognized event brand under category managers Barrie and Louise Thomlinson. Now working for a variety of automotive and mainstream commercial clients, Mark has a unique perspective on recent motor racing history and the future career paths of our best and brightest young racers.
Peter Whitten
Peter has been the editor of RallySport Magazine since its inception in 1989, in both printed and online form. He is a long-time competitor, event organiser and official, as well as working in the media.
Richard Craill
Working full time in the motorsport industry since 2004, Richard has established himself within the group of Australia’s core motorsport broadcasters, covering the support card at the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix for Channel 10, the Bathurst 12 Hour for Channel 7 and RadioLeMans plus Porsche Carrera Cup & Touring Car Masters for FOX Sports’ Supercars coverage. Works a PR bloke for several teams and categories, is an amateur motorsport photographer and owns five cars, most of them Holdens, of varying vintage and state of disrepair.
Jonathan Green
Known in New Zealand for being the voice of the Toyota Racing Series TV coverage, Jonathan Green is also a co-host at Speed City Broadcast. Speed City is a US national radio show broadcasting F1,Indy Car and Moto GP and Jonathan is the voice of the Circuit of the Americas. Based in Austin Texas, Jonathan is one of the world’s leading motor sports broadcasters with more than 20 years at the sharp end of the sport as producer, presenter, reporter and commentator and is one of a handful in his field that he covers both two and four wheel motor sport from Formula One to Moto GP and World Superbikes.

With an interest in motorsport since I was young, and a passion for journalism I have been able to combine the two while also studying for a Bachelor of Communications and a Diploma in Journalism at Wintec.

Hayden Paddon
Ex WRC driver Hayden Paddon is based in Cromwell, NZ and runs Paddon Rallysport as well as still actively competing in rallying. During his time with the Hyundai World Rally Team, Paddon competed in 81 WRC events, stood on the podium nine times including winning the 2016 Rally Argentina. Hayden joins the Talkmotorsport team writing a bi-weekly column on all things rallying.
Chris Lambden
No stranger to writing and editing motorsport magazines, Chris is an expat Kiwi who developed what became the S5000 car, and now acts as ‘development manager’ for the S5000 series owners, ARG.
Billy Frazer
Billy Frazer is a Kiwi driver competing in the 2021 USF2000 Series, as part of the Road to Indy. Having won the 2019/20 NZ Formula Ford Championship, Billy went on to compete in the 2021 Castrol Toyota Racing Series and now finds himself in the USA
