Leitch confirms Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe Series entry

Brendon Leitch has confirmed his entry in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe Series with Leipert Motorsport.  Leitch will compete in the #86 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 in the PRO Class, one of five Leipert Motorsport entries.  After co-driving last season with German teammate Gerhard Watzinger, Leitch will compete in the 2023 series on his own.

“I’m very excited for this to begin in the coming months,” commented Leitch.  “Driving solo will be a big challenge but I am quite confident with it all and should be at the sharp end of it.”

The season was to get underway at Imola, Italy, at the beginning of May.  However, the Lamborghini Squadra Corse recently announced that the opening round of the 2023 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe season at Imola (5-7 May) has been postponed due to a delay in the completion of pit building and paddock renovations.

The remainder of the 2023 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe calendar remains unchanged, with Paul Ricard opening the season on the first weekend in June. Then it’s onto the standout event of the year, Spa-Francorchamps on the support bill of the Spa 24 Hours at the earlier date of the end of June.

A month later, the Nürburgring makes a welcome return to the calendar after a year away, before a first trip to Valencia in Spain since 2016, when it played host to the Lamborghini Grand Finals. Vallelunga, the venue for the 2023 Grand Finals, will hold the final round of the season in November.
