Coulthard confirmed for Bathurst, paired with Mostert

Walkinshaw Andretti United has today confirmed the Teams 2022 Bathurst 1000 pairings, with Chaz Mostert partnering with Fabian Coulthard, and Nick Percat teaming up with Warren Luff.

Percat and Luff will share the Mobil 1 NTI Racing No. 2, with Mostert and Coulthard in the Mobil 1 Optus Racing No. 25.

“I’m really excited to be teaming up with Chaz in the Mobil 1 Optus Racing No. 25 this year, we are working really well together,” commented Coulthard. “Being close to the team inside the garage has been awesome, I felt right at home from that start, and it’s been great spending time at the track and seeing how everyone works operationally – it all helps with just the one enduro this season.

“We will have one final test day before we head to Bathurst which will be important, but I’m really excited to see what we can achieve at The Mountain in October that’s for sure.”

October’s Bathurst 1000 will mark Coulthard’s racing return to the Team. To date, he has 471 Supercars starts, which have included 13 race wins and 60 podiums, including a Bathurst podium in 2017. He also has 18 Bathurst 1000 starts currently.

Luff returns to the Team for his ninth consecutive season, fresh off the back of his top-five finish in 2022. Since joining the team in 2014 he has won the 2015 Enduro Cup, the 2016 Sandown 500 and has stood on the podium seven times, four of which at the Bathurst 1000. Over the course of his career to date, he has six Bathurst 1000 podiums from his 21 starts.

Both Luff and Coulthard will continue to be heavily involved in the Team’s 2022 programme, before the Bathurst 1000 on October 6-9.
