Championship battle set to twist and turn at The Bend

The Repco Supercars Championship resumes battle today at The Bend Motorsport Park, with the first race of the OTR SuperSprint scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

Fresh off his NASCAR Cup Series debut last weekend, Coca-Cola Racing’s Brodie Kostecki leads the Supercars standings heading into Tailem Bend, but just 67 points separate the top four in the championship.

Currently second in the standings is Kostecki’s teammate Will Brown, who was announced just days ago as replacing Shane van Gisbergen at Red Bull Ampol Racing in 2024. Van Gisbergen, currently third in the standings, has been granted release from his current contract to pursue a career in the United States from next year.

This weekend marks Supercars 600th race event in history, the first Supercars race event took place in 1960 at Gnoo-Blas, near Orange, NSW.

Three races are scheduled across this weekend, with Race 20 taking place today and Races 21 and 22 of the 2023 season being held on Sunday.

The OTR SuperSprint is the eighth event of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship season.
